Raising the Village

Thank you so much for a remarkable evening. As always, we greatly appreciate the opportunity to present and receive funding from The Funding Network. I am especially grateful for the coaching and support from TFN. It clearly made a huge difference :) I look forward to attending future events as a participant and joining this truly great movement. Thank you again.

First Three Years

On behalf of Barb and Ayala I’d like you and your committee to know how much we enjoyed and appreciated participating in the event last night. I could rave about the evening on many levels but just to say that you’ve created a unique and successful fundraising event that enables charities like ours to take on these important and impactful projects.

There was a great atmosphere last night and warmth among people in the room which made it easy to pick up on old connections and make some new ones. Thanks too, to Borden Ladner Gervais who did a lovely job of hosting.

Lewa Canada

I am writing to thank you and everyone else on the executive and Board of The Funding Netowrk-Toronto for Lewa Canada's opportunity to rpeswent our NRT project proposal. Marc and I thoroughly enjoed the format and challenge and we appreciated the generous funding provided by the participants. Barb and I also welcomed the opportunity to support the First Three Years project and Street Kids' Sierra Leone initiative that evening.

Blake Boultbee Youth Outreach Services

On May 4th, 2006 I made a presentation to the Toronto Funding Network and to our good fortune the members of the audience were able to grasp the importance of our work and then generously pledged with tremendous support. At the end of the evening we raised nearly $25,000, almost double what we had expected to earn. I am not exaggerating when I say that being part of that TFN event was perhaps the most special single fundraising activity in our 20 year history. I have since become a member of the TFN community and enthusiastically share the possibilities with friends and colleagues.

Trails Youth Initiatives

On Behalf of Trails Youth Initiatives - John Hague (Chair, Board), Shirley Clark (Director of Development), Julia Morch (Programme Director) and our lovely Tahirah Stanley (Trails Graduate), we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to be part of your wonderful network, to present about our great charity, Trails Youth Initiatives, and to thank you for supporting us.

It was a fantastic and memorable evening. What would smaller charities do without you? We are so grateful.

This is such a remarkable organization that you have formed, you should all be so proud.

So, again, we THANK YOU!

Warmest Regards,

Shirley Clark

Street Kids International

A big thanks to you and the network from the team at Street Kids International. Everyone was very curious about the format of the evening.

Sharing the story of the great people I met and the presentation brought excitement to our little office.

While we are constantly fundraising to make our work possible, it is not every day that we have the chance to meet and engage such a group of generous, socially-minded people who are not only interested in what we do, but feel free to ask questions and challenge the way we do it. I have deep admiration and respect for this group, what a great contribution you make!

I would very much enjoy the chance to return to show how these funds have impacted the young people we work with as they transition into self-reliance at some later date.

Our sincerest appreciation and best wishes for the holidays,
