Rebooting Education for Aruaqjuaq School in Hall Beach, Nunavut

A lack of educational technology has been identified as a major challenge for Aboriginal children trying to keep pace with students across the country in the 21st century. OLPC has developed an Android tablet fully loaded with customized educational apps for up to three students and an adult in the elementary school (actually a warehouse) located in the northern community of Hall Beach, Nunavut and it costs only $100.

By meeting our funding objectives, TFN will provide the school with important learning tools for all 110 elementary school students, educational resources that will last for years to come.
